Tyra Lynne Banks, born December 4, 1973, is an influential American model, television personality, producer, writer, and actress.

Banks rose to fame as a supermodel, becoming the first Black woman to grace the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue in 1993. She also graced the cover of Vogue and other prestigious fashion magazines.

After retiring from modeling, Banks transitioned to television, hosting the popular reality competition show America's Next Top Model for 24 seasons. She has also starred in several films and television shows, including Coyote Ugly and Glee.

In addition to her entertainment career, Banks is an entrepreneur and the founder of Tyra Beauty, a cosmetics company, and Tyra Banks Cosmetics, a beauty line. She is also the founder of the Tyra Banks TZONE Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports women and girls.
